Many parts of the Bible show the frustration of mankind trying to keep a law that they continuously stumble over and God trying to bless people through a legal system that won't permit Him to do so.
Satan continues to accuse everyone, using the perfection of the law, thus keeping people in guilt and condemnation.
God made a new covenant with humans by cutting it with His Son, His only Son.
Now, we have no part to play in this new covenant except to believe and receive.
God has both fulfilled the perfect law through His perfect Son and open a new and living way to bless us.
And why did He go to all this trouble?
Because God is in love!
